This children’s book features 26 full-color, realistic illustrations that will enchant readers of all ages. Ms. Greenleaf’s adaptation also includes a brief biography of Whittier describing his achievements and accomplishments as a poet and abolitionist, a mentor to Louisa May Alcott, and a contemporary of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and the other Fireside Poets.
